Brandon occasionally makes short, jerky movements with his right hand that trigger clear, sustained notes via the beam. The apparently random nature of the movements, which appear to be myoclonic, suggests that they are not intentional. Brandon does not visibly react to them, and there is no evidence that he connects the movement of his fingers to the sound that he causes.
